Mars is poised to receive unconditional antitrust approval from the European Union for its $36 billion acquisition of Kellanova, the maker of Pringles, clearing a major regulatory hurdle. This deal, which has already been approved by U.S. authorities, would merge a variety of popular brands under Mars, significantly impacting the candy and snacks industry. The EU Commission, which had previously raised concerns about potential price increases, found no legal basis to impose conditions, with a final decision expected by December 19.
