On June 26, 2024, suspects used Marvel hero 'Black Panther' as packaging for drug-laced coffee. The Criminal Investigation Bureau's Third Division, Second Team, along with the Taichung City Government Police Department's Sixth Division, received a tip-off about a drug manufacturing group led by a suspect surnamed Lin. The group was selling drug-laced coffee in the form of packaged products. After a lengthy investigation, three suspects were arrested, along with the seizure of a packaging plant and over 2,000 finished drug coffee packages, among other evidence. The group attracted young buyers by using popular Marvel movie heroes like 'Iron Man' and 'Black Panther'. Authorities are continuously cracking down on drug-related crimes and urge the public to report suspicious activities to help combat drug crimes in the community.
