A metal-clad factory in the Wugu District of New Taipei City caught fire around 7:27 pm on June 30, prompting a swift response from 49 fire trucks and 76 firefighters. The intense flames and thick smoke raised concerns about the hazardous chemicals stored inside, leading authorities to caution nearby residents to stay indoors and close all windows. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and additional firefighting teams have been dispatched as a precaution against the spread to neighboring factories.
