On July 17, 2024, at 7:34 AM, a factory in Minghe Village, Mountain District, Tainan, caught fire, producing a massive mushroom-shaped cloud of black smoke, creating a terrifying scene. Witnesses heard explosion sounds from a distance. The factory, suspected to be an acrylic factory storing various chemical materials, is facing a large burning area that will take time to control. While no one was trapped, the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
