On July 18, 2024, at 8:44 am, a factory fire broke out on Xingwang Road in Shan Shang District, Tainan City, causing a large mushroom-shaped cloud of smoke to be visible from afar and the highway. Multiple fire brigades were dispatched to the scene, with 32 vehicles and 65 personnel involved in firefighting efforts. The exact cause and location of the fire are still under investigation.
