A female master's degree holder surnamed Jiang, along with her boyfriend surnamed Zhang, brutally killed her father with a hammer and abandoned the body in the wilderness after being dissatisfied with her father not supporting her financially while studying in the U.S. The Taiwan Taichung District Court sentenced them to life imprisonment for murder, but the Taichung High Court upheld the ruling and did not impose the death penalty due to the possibility of rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Jiang and Zhang's actions were deemed extremely ruthless, and they were driven by revenge after facing financial difficulties during their studies abroad, leading to the tragic murder of Jiang's father.
