Reported 12 months ago

As of July 3, 2024, 7:39 a.m., Mastercard Taiwan's General Manager, Chen Yi-wen, reported a 2.24% CPI increase from the same period last year, causing pressure due to rising prices. Despite 65% expecting pay raises to not keep up with inflation, people are willing to spend on sports, leisure, and beauty, investing in appearance, health, and continue seeking quality living despite financial burdens. The survey also shows that over 60% have spent on beauty and cosmetics, with the younger generation spending more than older groups in the aesthetics sector. Additionally, the report reveals the enthusiasm for sports among Taiwanese, with a high interest in indigenous sports events, and willingness to spend for sports-related activities.
