The Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting & Statistics announced that the unemployment rate in May was 3.34%, decreasing by 0.02 percentage points compared to the previous month. This marks the third consecutive monthly decline and the lowest performance for the same month in 24 years. After seasonal adjustments, the unemployment rate was 3.35%, a decrease of 0.04 percentage points from the previous month. The number of unemployed in May was 400,000, with a decrease of 3,000 people compared to the previous month, and a total of 12,000 fewer unemployed individuals compared to the same month last year. Unemployment rates varied by education level and age group, with the highest rates observed among those with university degrees and those aged 15-19 and 20-24 years old.
