According to a report by Yuan Yanshou on July 3, 2024, showing an increase in both revenue and profit for Taiwan's top 100 companies, the number of service industry companies entering the list is 1.85 times that of the manufacturing industry, accounting for 75% of the top 100 companies and reaching a ten-year high. Mayor Hsiao Wen-An of Taipei City attended the '2024 Taiwan Service Industry Evaluation' award ceremony, praising the winners and all awarded individuals and enterprises. He hoped that the city government could mirror this success by creating a more efficient and service-oriented government, developing policies from a citizen's perspective to provide better service experiences. Hsiao pointed out that the majority of Taipei's industries are in the service sector and emphasized the city's efforts to assist businesses in facing globalization and industry transformation through the Taipei Digital Business Development Center, providing services to accelerate digital transformation. Hsiao also highlighted the importance of a friendly and professional attitude in the service industry, reflecting similar dedication among city government employees.
