Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an recently met with young athletes representing the city at the 113th National Primary School Athletics Championships, praising their hard work and excellent results. Despite his personal best of 5.33 meters in long jump during his time on the track team, Chiang immediately conceded defeat upon hearing a student's jump of 5.69 meters, humbly acknowledging their superior skills. Taipei's young athletes excelled in the championships, winning numerous medals, setting records, and placing impressively in the standings. Chiang emphasized the importance of family support, coaching, and teamwork in achieving success in sports, expressing confidence in the students' bright futures in athletics or any other pursuits they choose.
