McDonald’s Introduces New $5 Value Meal to Combat Inflation

Reported 8 months ago

McDonald’s is launching a limited-time $5 Meal Deal in US locations starting June 25, featuring a McDouble cheeseburger or McChicken sandwich, small fries, 4-piece chicken nuggets, and a small drink. The fast food chain aims to boost sales and attract cost-conscious customers amidst concerns of rising prices. Competitors like Burger King and Wendy’s have also introduced similar meal deals in response. Despite concerns over price increases, McDonald’s president Joe Erlinger clarified that the average cost of a Big Mac has only risen from $4.39 in 2019 to $5.29, a 21% increase. The company is focusing on offering affordable prices to meet customer demands during challenging times.
