Media reported on July 5th that the Demolition Group submitted 43,000 petition signatures to the Keelung City Election Commission for review but errors were found, such as repeated handwriting, lack of organization by village, confusion between original and duplicate copies, and instances of multiple signatures by the same person. The Demolition Group responded by accusing the media of intruding on the counting process and spreading misinformation, emphasizing the importance of media supervision, assisting people in overseeing the government, and not spreading rumors. Despite initial resistance, the group eventually accepted that the documents needed to be amended.
