Two men, Thomas Pavey and Raheim Hamilton, have been charged by US prosecutors for running a dark web market called 'Empire Market' where over $430 million worth of drugs, stolen information, counterfeit currency, and malicious programs were anonymously bought and sold. Pavey and Hamilton allegedly engaged in drug trafficking, computer fraud, money laundering, and other crimes through the platform between 2018 and 2020, using cryptocurrency for transactions. They are held in federal custody, facing charges for their involvement in 'AlphaBay' as well. Investigators seized cash, precious metals, and over $75 million in cryptocurrencies from the accused individuals.
