A man surnamed Du, 49, drove a Mercedes-Benz and rammed into the Presidential Office in New Taipei City, Taiwan, without causing any casualties. He was arrested by the police and the case is being investigated for violating the Public Order Maintenance Act and endangering public safety. It is suspected that Du may have mental health issues. The Presidential Office responded by stating that the man was taken to the police station for further investigation into his motives and actions, as his car was covered in red paint with messages expressing dissatisfaction with domestic political affairs.
