Meta Platforms successfully defended against a lawsuit from Children's Health Defense, an anti-vaccine organization founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., which claimed that Meta curtailed their posts spreading vaccine misinformation. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Meta acted within its rights as a private company, stating it has the authority to moderate content it finds objectionable, especially regarding vaccine safety and efficacy.
