According to Reuters, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta Platforms, disclosed that Threads, the latest social media platform from Meta, has exceeded 175 million monthly active users. Zuckerberg made the announcement on the platform itself, celebrating its success in less than a year since its launch. Despite this milestone, Threads has yet to disclose daily active user numbers and average user engagement time. Initially drawing users from Instagram, Threads gained rapid popularity, but its lack of advertising revenue makes little profit for Meta. The platform has expanded to the Fediverse, supporting ActivityPub protocol for inter-platform interaction.
