Meta's WhatsApp is adding new AI features, including an AI assistant, to help businesses connect with customers, handle inquiries, and facilitate transactions via chat. The AI-powered assistant will be tested in India and Singapore before launching in Brazil, catering to over 200 million businesses using WhatsApp for customer interactions. Additionally, Meta is expanding its AI assistant to support Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp in Portuguese and plans to introduce AI-powered click-to-message ads to monetize WhatsApp further.
