Meta Platforms, parent company of Facebook, has submitted proposed changes to the UK's Competition Market Authority (CMA) regarding privacy compliance on its Facebook Marketplace platform. The amendments include limiting the use of certain data from all advertisers, following commitments accepted by the CMA in November to prevent the exploitation of advertising customers' data. The regulator is currently seeking feedback on the proposed changes until June 14, while any additional alterations to Meta's earlier proposals have not been disclosed. Amazon.com also committed in November to not use marketplace data from rival sellers to ensure fair competition.
