Mets relief pitchers lose a four-run advantage, but their comeback attempt is not enough as they fall to the Giants 8-7.

Reported 5 months ago

The New York Mets lost 8-7 to the San Francisco Giants after their bullpen blew a four-run lead in the eighth inning. Despite solid performances from Christian Scott and home runs by J.D. Martinez, Mark Vientos, and Pete Alonso, the Mets couldn't hold on for the win. The Giants staged a comeback, with Patrick Bailey hitting a grand slam in the eighth inning to take the lead. The Mets made a ninth-inning comeback attempt, but fell short, dropping their fourth straight game.
