The New York Mets are reportedly designating reliever Jorge López for assignment after he made controversial comments calling them "the worst team in probably the whole f***ing MLB." López's outburst came after a game where he was ejected and tossed his glove into the stands in frustration. The Mets, who have been struggling this season with a 22-33 record, are facing criticism for their performance despite having one of the highest payrolls in MLB.
