Mexico's antitrust regulator, Cofece, has determined that Walmex, Walmart's local subsidiary, engaged in monopolistic practices with suppliers and has imposed a fine of over 93 million pesos (approximately $4.6 million). Walmex plans to challenge this ruling, stating it believes the regulator's analysis is flawed despite complying with the decision.
