Mexico City is ramping up investments in mobility and security in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The proposed mobility budget will rise to nearly 7 billion pesos, focusing on easier access to the Azteca stadium. The city plans record investments in its subway system, increased public works spending, and the installation of security cameras. A total of 17 billion pesos is allocated for social spending, alongside efforts to manage water resources more efficiently as part of an overall initiative to enhance city infrastructure and safety before the World Cup.
