Mexico Implements Measures to Combat Steel and Textile Dumping

In response to sluggish growth, Mexico's government has unveiled a strategy to enhance national output while combating unfair trade practices. Finance Minister Edgar Amador announced plans to increase the national content of government purchases and reduce imports, potentially boosting GDP by 0.7% and creating 700,000 jobs annually. Additionally, Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard detailed new measures against undervalued imports of steel, textiles, and other products, including implementing reference prices and canceling the registration of non-compliant steel mills.
