Seinfeld actor Michael Richards revealed in his upcoming memoir that he was diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer in 2018, sharing that if he hadn't undergone surgery to remove his prostate, he likely would have died within eight months. Richards, who felt ready to die at the time of diagnosis but later reconsidered for the sake of his young son, decided to open up about his cancer battle and reflect on his life by releasing his memoir at the age of 75. He also addressed the 2006 incident in which he made racist remarks on stage, expressing immediate regret and stating that he stepped away from show business to work on himself internally.
