Microsoft intends to invest 6.69 billion euros ($7.16 billion) to establish new data centres in Aragon, northeastern Spain. The tech giant aims to construct these data centres outside Zaragoza over a 10-year period, following a recent 2.1 billion euro investment in data centres in Madrid. Microsoft's move comes after Amazon's announcement of a 15.7 billion euro investment in Aragon for cloud computing, with plans to power the data centres with renewable energy in a region rich in wind power resources.
