Microsoft is making significant investments in nuclear and renewable energy to support its expanding cloud and AI operations. Recently, it signed a long-term agreement with Constellation Energy to relaunch the Three Mile Island nuclear facility, capable of generating 835 megawatts of carbon-free power, as well as a colossal deal with Brookfield Renewable to provide over 10.5 gigawatts of new renewable capacity. These moves not only ensure a sustainable power supply for Microsoft's ambitious growth plans but also position Constellation and Brookfield for substantial benefits in the energy market.
