Microsoft President Brad Smith stated that Microsoft is prepared to take additional measures to address EU antitrust investigation concerns regarding its Office product's chat and video app, Teams. The European Commission initiated an investigation upon a complaint by Slack in 2020, focusing on Microsoft's bundling of Office and Teams. Microsoft had previously decided to sell Teams separately from Office globally, and is now willing to do more to address regulatory concerns. While anticipating potential EU charges, Smith expressed commitment to resolving the issue in discussions with EU antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager.
