In Taiwan, the middle class is facing challenges as income has remained stagnant for years, while wealth distribution continues to be unequal. According to recent data from the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, the average net worth of middle-class families in the third income group is 9.06 million, significantly higher than 30 years ago. However, with inflation and uneven asset accumulation, maintaining or achieving middle-class status has become increasingly difficult. The situation highlights the pressures middle-class families are under, leading to efforts like multiple income sources and investments in various industries to secure a comfortable future.
