The Taoyuan District Prosecutors' Office recently discovered that a military equipment supplier was about to leave the country, leading to an early search operation. The office has detained a colonel from the military procurement bureau and 3 suppliers, but due to lack of jurisdiction, the Taoyuan District Court requested the return of the 4 individuals. The Prosecutors' Office believes the court's ruling was improper and has decided to appeal. The case involves suspicions of the military purchasing bulletproof vests with fibers made in mainland China instead of the required Taiwanese-made ones.
