Ministry of the Interior Provides Comprehensive Support for Hualien's Full Reconstruction

TCnews Charity News Network on June 22, 2024, at 9:57 pm: Minister of the Interior Liu Shih-Fang, Deputy Minister Wu T'ang-An, Director-General of the Land Administration Wu Hsin-Hsiu, and Director of the National Park Administration Chen Mao-Chun accompanied Prime Minister Cho Jung-Tai and officials from various agencies to inspect the '0403 Hualien Reconstruction Office.' The Ministry of the Interior is actively supporting Hualien in various aspects of reconstruction, including rent subsidies, seismic reinforcement, old and dangerous building reconstruction, Taroko National Park reconstruction, and the procurement of fire trucks related to disaster prevention. The Ministry has already allocated over 14 million NT$ for rent subsidies, provided short-term accommodations for 90 households, assisted the Hualien County Government with over 617 million NT$ for urban renewal counseling, and allocated approximately 8.6 billion NT$ to enhance disaster relief capabilities. They are also supporting the Taroko National Park rehabilitation plan with around 30 billion NT$ gradually over the years. Minister Liu emphasized the joint efforts of the central and local governments to expedite the reconstruction and restoration work to help the affected people in Hualien return to normal life and revive Hualien's tourism industry.
