A woman from Liaoning Province in China revealed on Weibo that when she was 19 and seeking solace in religion after her mother passed away, she became a victim of mental manipulation and sexual harassment by Abbot Bao Changjiang at the Bible Temple in Zhangwu County. The abbot deceived her in the name of religion, claiming that by engaging in a sexual relationship, not only could the woman reach enlightenment after death, but even her deceased mother could achieve deliverance. The relationship lasted for several years until she left the temple at 23 to study at another Buddhist college, realizing she had been deceived. This incident has sparked public outrage and discussions on the management of religious places and the protection of believers.
