A Taiwanese man's sister and her family went on a self-guided trip to Greece in May this year. While visiting Santorini Island, the sister's husband drowned while swimming with the entire incident lasting less than 5 minutes. Despite seeking help from the Greek tour guide and the captain, the sister was given no assistance, missing the golden rescue time. The man, surnamed Bai, has filed a complaint, advising people to be cautious about travel safety, not solely relying on online star ratings. Bai further detailed the events leading to the tragic incident and criticized the lack of proper safety measures onboard the tour boat.
