Mobile Castle of Drugs! Drug Dealer Uses Uber Taxi as Mobile Safe House

Reported about 1 year ago

A specialized task force composed of the Southern Crime-Fighting Center of the Criminal Investigation Bureau, Kaohsiung City Government Police Bureau's Youth Police Squad, and Changhua County Police Bureau Crime Investigation Brigade, led by Prosecutor Zhao Qizheng from Kaohsiung District Prosecutors' Office, successfully cracked down on a drug trafficking ring in Taiwan. The main suspect, Zheng, ran a mobile drug warehouse through an online channel, and was caught with various drugs including marijuana, MDMA pills, drug-laced coffee packets, LSD stamps, liquid ecstasy, and 2C-B capsules. Utilizing an Uber car driven by a taxi driver surnamed Zhu in Kaohsiung, the group conducted drug sales twice a week by traveling between north and south, using the vehicle as a cover to distribute drugs discreetly. The Ministry of the Interior will continue to combat drug-related crimes by focusing on various aspects such as prevention in schools, cracking down on emerging drugs, and preventing drug infiltration in rural areas, seeking support from the community to fight the prevalent trend of online drug trafficking.
