In New Fengxiang Township, Hsinchu on the morning of June 24, 2024, a group of modified motorbikes gathered to speed. Several modified vehicles on Taiwan Route 15 emitted loud exhaust noises at midnight, and when they saw police cars, they reversed, swerved, and sped away, causing nearby residents headaches and sleepless nights. The police pursued the modified motorcycles for about one kilometer, but due to safety considerations, they decided to stop the chase after gathering evidence and will summon the owners for explanation later. Similar incidents of modified motorcycles gathering for speeding were reported in the same area last year. The police emphasize the continuous crackdown on dangerous vehicles to ensure residents can have a peaceful sleep.
