Modular Asset Management Expands to Hong Kong

Reported 1 day ago

Modular Asset Management, a spinoff from Millennium Management currently based in Singapore and managing $1.5 billion, is set to expand operations into Hong Kong to strengthen its ties with the Chinese market. This expansion follows the hiring of former Barclays trader Alex Hu Xiuyi as a portfolio manager, marking the company's first move in Hong Kong where they plan to establish an office by Q2. Despite facing geopolitical tensions and an economic slowdown in China, Hong Kong aims to attract international hedge funds by showcasing its financial opportunities.
