The Museum of the Moving Image and the Polish Cultural Institute New York will host a retrospective of Agnieszka Holland's films in June, featuring nine of her most beloved works leading up to the premiere of her latest film, "Green Border." The retrospective will include screenings of films such as "Europa Europa" and "The Secret Garden," showcasing Holland's ability to depict historical trauma and human struggle with sensitivity. "Green Border" is a black-and-white refugee crisis drama inspired by real events at the Poland-Belarus border, set to open in New York on June 21.
