The Labor Ministry held the 'Minimum Wage Review and Consultation Joint Meeting' on June 26, with 30 members discussing the potential for another minimum wage adjustment. Data from 104 Job Bank shows that the average monthly salary for workers in 2024 reached 47,000 yuan, indicating a 5.4% annual increase, also hitting a decade high. The wage disparity is evident, with higher-paying industries primarily in the technology and finance sectors, highlighting a pyramid-shaped salary structure where lower-paying industries form the base. Employers are increasingly offering more benefits and raising salaries to attract talent, amidst the ongoing economic recovery, providing opportunities for job seekers.
