Popular political talk show host Liu Baojie recently got furious after reports surfaced that Chinese state media Xinhua News Agency had dispatched journalists to participate and monitor the show, prompting him to threaten legal action against further insinuations. During an online broadcast, Wu Zijia, the chairman of 'Beautiful Island Electronics Journal,' stated that the alleged surveillance by Chinese media was fake news and speculated that President Lai Ching-te was seeking retribution against their media outlet. Both denounced the rumors, with Liu emphasizing Taiwan's democratic values and Wu confirming no signs of external presence in the studio. Wu suggested directing the accusations towards Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Shen Boyang, insinuating continued DPP interference in media affairs post-election. The matter has yet to reach a conclusion.
