Southern Nevada is facing its highest level of mosquito activity with over 3,000 mosquitoes testing positive for West Nile virus, as reported by health officials. The increase is partly attributed to the aggressive daytime biters, Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, now testing positive for the virus in Clark County for the first time. Public is urged to take preventive measures as the area sees its highest mosquito activity in known history.
