On July 2, 2024, officers Lan Zixiang and Li Jiayun of the Fengde 2nd Road Police Station in Lingya Division, Kaohsiung, responded to a call near an elementary school construction site where a mother and son were lost and in distress, seeking police assistance. The police rushed to the scene and found the mother and son heading towards the elementary school security office. The mother and son, who had traveled from Changhua to Kaohsiung by bus, were unfamiliar with the area and sought help after being dropped off by a bus driver at an unknown location. After the police identified their identities and informed their family, the relatives hurried from Pingtung to reunite with the mother and son who were then safely taken home.
