According to CTV News Network on July 3, 2024, a mother brought her two daughters to commit suicide at Bitan, New Taipei City on July 2, leaving herself as the sole survivor. The police have charged the mother with murder as the news reached the school where the deceased children attended, causing shock and grief among teachers and students. Investigation revealed that the 34-year-old mother, originally from China, had been married for 11 years and lived with her husband and in-laws, showing no major conflicts with her family. The school where the children studied expressed sorrow, highlighting that the students were well-behaved and liked by teachers.
