In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a woman surnamed Gao criticized her son's female homeroom teacher in his contact book, calling her insulting names and questioning her mental state after being upset about the teacher's behavior towards students. The teacher, feeling offended, sued the mother for 200,000 TWD in emotional damages. The court ruled that the mother's words damaged the teacher's reputation and mental health, ordering her to pay 30,000 TWD in compensation, with the case still open for appeal.
