A man in Taipei City who had been abusing drugs and alcohol was reported by his elderly mother to the police after she could no longer tolerate his behavior. When the police searched the man's home while he was asleep, they unexpectedly found a gun and bullets hidden under the ancestral altar, leading to the man's arrest. Although no drugs were found, the man admitted to using ketamine, and both the gun and bullets will be examined. The case has been transferred to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office for further investigation, with the mother also applying for a protection order out of fear of retaliation from her son.
