A 45-year-old man surnamed Chen had a weekend outing riding a red plate heavy motorcycle down to Pingtung County's Checheng Township, but lost control on a narrow road, crashing and tumbling into a 120-meter distant thicket of tall grass, resulting in double leg fractures. Rescuers located him through satellite positioning after receiving the distress call and successfully carried him to safety for medical treatment in Nanmen Hospital in Hengchun. Advanced paramedic Wu Guoming administered saline to prevent shock due to the hot weather, and it took a joint effort of emergency personnel 10 minutes to carry the injured man out of the rugged terrain for treatment.
