Motorola has launched the new foldable screen phones Motorola razr 50 and razr 50 Ultra, using a new fifth-generation star track hinge design, and featuring Mediatek Dimensity 7300X and Qualcomm 8s Gen3 chips. Both models come with large external screens that support Google Gemini and other AI functions, as well as Moto AI. The razr 50 Ultra is priced at 31,990 yuan, while the razr 50 is priced at 21,990 yuan. TrendForce estimates that foldable phone shipments in 2024 will be around 17.8 million units, accounting for only about 1.5% of the smartphone market, with challenges like high repair rates and prices. Motorola's success with the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra models, priced from 3,999 to 5,699 yuan, has led to a potential market share of about 6% and shipments exceeding 1 million units this year.
