On June 18, 2024, at 4:12 a.m., in Kaohsiung City, a team of 11 climbers successfully summited Taiwan's highest peak, Yushan Main Peak. Unfortunately, a 47-year-old man surnamed Huang fell while descending, sliding over 300 meters down a slope and succumbing to his injuries. The Nantou County Fire Department was alerted and promptly dispatched for rescue. The rescue operation, involving the fire department and Yushan National Park personnel, successfully retrieved the man's body with the assistance of the Ministry of the Interior's aerial service helicopter.
