As Hurricane Beryl approached with strong winds and rain, a Texas alligator park took preemptive action by relocating 37 large alligators to avoid them escaping due to the storm. Although Beryl had weakened to a Category 2 hurricane, it still posed risks to the US and Mexico. Meanwhile, in the Caribbean where Beryl had caused fatalities, concerns arose among locals about their livelihoods. The precautionary measure in Texas aimed to protect both the alligators and the public from potential harm.
