According to Taipei reports by Yuan Yanshou on June 11, 2024, the New Taipei City Government's MRT Bureau announced that the comprehensive planning report for the extension of the MRT Sanxia Line to Bade in Taoyuan, in cooperation with the Taoyuan City Government, has been approved by the National Development Council. The New Taipei City Government will continue to seek swift approval from the Executive Yuan, and construction is expected to commence after approval, with a forecast completion in nine years. The extension will link the Sanxia Line with the Taoyuan Green Line, connecting the road networks of New Taipei's Third Ring Sixth Line and Taoyuan's Third Ring Sixth Line, serving tens of millions in the northern Taiwan and Taoyuan MRT consortium. Planners hope to accelerate the new link between New Taipei and Taoyuan's MRT networks, enhancing transportation in the region.
