Following the transfer of former Agriculture Bureau Director Li Min to a counselor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, five chiefs in New Taipei City, including Water Resources Bureau Chief Song Deren, Fire Bureau Chief Li Qing'an, Labor Bureau Chief Chen Ruijia, Economic Development Bureau Chief He Yiming, and Research and Development Evaluation Committee Chairman Lin Fengyu, were reassigned as counselors and acting chiefs. This caused discontent among several councilors who criticized the lack of respect for the council. The city government emphasized its support for the transitioning chiefs, stating that the reshuffling aims to allow policy continuity, with personnel announcements available on the city's Human Resources Department's website. Furthermore, the five chiefs can potentially be promoted to 12th-grade counselors after fulfilling the required tenure as officials. The sudden personnel changes have raised concerns, reflecting political maneuvers and questioning the city mayor's leadership and accountability.
