Reported 12 months ago

A man surnamed Huang, aged 55, in Nantou County shocked society with an unusual case of cannabis cultivation. Despite having no agricultural background, Huang successfully cultivated 'dwarf cannabis' in a rental house in Nantou through self-study and online resources, and engaged in large-scale sales for profit. The police, after a meticulous investigation, seized cannabis plants and related evidence worth over 12 million yuan last month. Huang, lacking an agriculture background, pursued this illegal activity for the lucrative gains, utilizing a unique strain of cannabis that allowed for shorter growth periods and increased profits, leading to an estimated 120 million yuan of seized cannabis. Huang admitted to his crimes and was released on bail pending trial for drug offenses.
